Tim Baker

Tim grew up on a Morgan County, Alabama farm near the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. His father and grandfather were avid hunters and fishermen. Tim’s knowledge of the outdoors, wild edible and medicinal plants, hunting, trapping, fishing and Native American artifacts was gleaned from the many hours he spent with his grandfather. As a boy, his days were filled with roaming and fishing along the banks of the Tennessee River, searching for arrowheads in the plowed cotton fields, trapping, and waterfowl hunting. Tim’s interest in Native American artifacts, specifically arrowheads, grew into a passion to learn the art of flint knapping (making arrowheads) which he has mastered over the past twenty five years.

Tim’s career as a hunting guide began while in his teens and led him to form Wildlife Development, Management & Consulting, Inc. Through this corporation Tim plans, develops, and plants hunting properties for private land owners and hunting clubs. Guiding hunts and working with land owners and hunting clubs sparked Tim’s interest in buying, developing, and selling investment and hunting properties. He has been specializing in properties located in North, Central and West Alabama and South Central Tennessee for the past 14 years. Tim’s selling experience includes timber land, recreational properties, mini-farms, conservation properties specializing in waterfowl hunting properties, and 1031 like-kind exchanges.

Tim lives in Morgan County near Priceville, Alabama with, Tammy, his wife of twenty five years and their daughter Audrey. His family worships at Cave Spring Baptist Church in Priceville. He was led to Christ by Phil Robertson, the Duck Commander, in the spring of 1988 and Tim is also known as Alabama Baker. Phil tells about Tim’s salvation experience on pages 196-197 of his book “Happy, Happy, Happy.”
